Name
Tabi is a Japanese word that can have different meanings:
  • 足袋 – split toes socks
  • 旅 – journey
  • 多美 – various beauty
Our name is actually inspired by jika-tabi (地下足袋 – tabi that touch the ground), which are the rubber-soled work tabi popular among Japanese workers (and also worn in some forms of the martial arts).

Aim
Our aim is to provide software that
  • supports you in your work
  • gets out of the way (to a degree that you are not even aware of using it)
  • gives you a firm footing when you go about your daily work

Who
Tabi software mainly just is myself (Markus Guhe) with the occasional support of other people.
